Leakage Testing of Radioactive
Sealed Sources

Radioactive sealed sources are required to be leakage tested at least every two years to demonstrate the integrity of their encapsulation (Reg 28(3)). A record of the test should be kept for at least that period, or until a subsequent test is again carried out.

We assist with the statutory wipe tests and certify satisfactory results after analysis of the swabs.

If loose contaminating material is detected, recommendations are made regarding the suitability of the source for continued use.

Test certificates based on international standards, confirm the satisfactory state of your radioactive sealed source.
