Radiation Protection Advisors (RPAs)

Radman Associates provides independent radiation safety advice to industry, commerce, research and teaching organisations throughout the UK.

Our Radiation Protection Advisors (RPAs) pay routine visits to your premises to assist with both the technical and administrative arrangements for radiation protection and the management of radiation sources.

In particular, attention is focussed on ensuring compliance with the following key legislation:

• Ionising Radiations Regulations 1999 (IRR99)
  .. for protecting persons in the workplace from radiation exposures
  
• Radioactive Substance Act 1993 (RSA93)
  .. for source security and protecting the envnt from radiological contamination
  
• Carriage of Dangerous Goods Regulations 2009 (CDG09)
  .. for protecting the general public from radiation exposures
  

Following routine visits to your premises our reports summarise the level of compliance with these statutory provisions and highlight areas for improvement for achieving robust management of radiation safety on site.
